Outreach Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Role

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Outreach Tutors to work with children and young people in Liverpool who cannot access mainstream education. You will provide personalised 1:1 tuition, helping learners re‑engage with learning, build confidence and progress towards positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one‑to‑one tutoring sessions for disengaged learners.
• Support pupils in developing study skills, confidence and motivation.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs, including SEND and SEMH considerations.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress.
• Collaborate with the wider outreach team to ensure consistent support.

Required profile

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
• Experience with SEND, SEMH or disengaged learners is desirable.
• Resilient, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people.
• Ability to build positive relationships with learners and families.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent preferred.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Flexible 5‑15 hours per week.
• Competitive hourly rate of £25‑£30.
• Ongoing, permanent placement starting September 2026.
