About the role
We are seeking an Outreach Tutor (QTS) to deliver one‑to‑one personalised lessons to pupils in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role supports learners who have gaps in their education, including those with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs, medical needs or who are currently out of education.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, create and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons that address individual learning gaps.
- Provide patient, creative and flexible support to rebuild confidence and re‑engage pupils with learning.
- Monitor pupil progress and report outcomes to Prospero Teaching.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit a range of needs, including SEND, SEMH and medical considerations.
- Work flexibly around the pupil’s and family’s schedule, delivering sessions in the community or at the pupil’s home.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous UK classroom teaching experience.
- Experience (or strong interest) in supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or disengaged learners.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional child‑related references.

- Competitive hourly rate (£25‑£30 per hour).
