Outsourced Finance Manager – Client Portfolio Role

About the role

We are seeking an Outsourced Finance Manager to act as the primary finance contact for a portfolio of client businesses in Oxford. You will combine technical accounting work with client interaction, delivering accurate financial information that supports commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors and become their trusted finance adviser.
• Prepare and review financial reports, management information and accounting records to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Support business owners with commercial analysis and decision‑making insights.
• Identify and drive process improvements and technology adoption within client finance functions.
• Oversee core accounting activities and review outputs produced by the wider team.
• Mentor and develop less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing attitude with a passion for building lasting relationships.
• Solid technical accounting knowledge and ability to interpret financial data.
• Commercial awareness and interest in supporting business performance.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with specialists across service lines.
