Outsourcing Supervisor – Chartered Accountancy Practice

About the role

The position supports a long‑standing chartered accountancy practice in Reading, overseeing the Outsourcing portfolio and acting as the primary liaison for client communications. Reporting to a Partner, you will guide a small team while ensuring high‑quality management accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of outsourcing clients across multiple industries.
• Review and approve bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts prepared by four team members.
• Prepare complex management accounts and detailed financial reports.
• Serve as the main point of contact for day‑to‑day client queries.
• Mentor and support team members in their professional development and study requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Managers and Partners to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years experience within an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualification at a minimum; ACA or ACCA preferred.
• Proven experience producing management accounts and VAT returns.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and review the work of junior staff.
