Outwards Reinsurance Manager (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Ki is seeking an Outwards Reinsurance Manager to lead the day‑to‑day execution of its outward reinsurance placement activity across all lines of business. This 12‑month fixed‑term role will support the design, structuring and delivery of the Outwards Reinsurance (ORI) programme, a core element of Ki’s capital and risk management strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Execute outward reinsurance placements in line with Ki’s guidelines and policies.
• Generate reinsurance data and Management Information (MI) to support business planning and strategic decisions.
• Identify and escalate events that could impact financial results to the Active Underwriter.
• Collaborate on alternative risk transfer methods and capital market transactions.
• Serve as the primary contact for brokers, reinsurers and internal committees, ensuring timely information flow.
• Maintain and develop relationships with brokers and reinsurers to meet Ki’s strategic requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in outward reinsurance placement and risk management.
• Strong understanding of capital management and alternative risk transfer concepts.
• Ability to work closely with underwriting, portfolio management, brokers and reinsurers.
• Analytical mindset with the capability to produce accurate MI and reports.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
