P2P Transformation Lead

About the role

We are seeking a P2P Transformation Lead on a 12‑month interim contract to design and professionalise the Purchase‑to‑Pay function for a fast‑growing retail business. Working closely with Finance, Procurement, IT, Operations and senior leadership, you will map current processes, identify control gaps and create a scalable P2P operating model that supports continued expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Review and document the end‑to‑end Purchase‑to‑Pay lifecycle across multiple business functions.
• Identify risks, inefficiencies and control weaknesses in current workflows.
• Design a scalable P2P operating model suitable for a multi‑site, high‑growth environment.
• Map purchasing workflows for vehicle procurement, operational expenditure, supplier payments and purchasing cards.
• Lead the redesign of supplier onboarding, governance and approval controls.
• Collaborate with Procurement to clarify ownership between purchasing, supplier onboarding and Accounts Payable.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, IT and site teams to ensure proposed processes meet operational requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance or procurement transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Purchase‑to‑Pay processes and controls.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, IT and Operations.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

• Experience with Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) systems and process design.
