Padel Coach – Part‑time (Evenings & Weekends)

About the role

Abingdon School is launching a new padel programme at Tilsley Park and seeks a passionate coach to deliver high‑quality sessions on evenings, weekends and school holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured padel coaching for individuals, pairs, groups, juniors, adults and mixed‑ability players.
• Plan and run sessions covering positioning, shot selection, serve, return, wall use, movement, tactics and match play.
• Support the full activity pathway – Pay and Play, taster sessions, one‑to‑one coaching, group courses, junior and adult programmes, leagues, tournaments and corporate events.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment, match players by ability and encourage progression.
• Provide clear technical instruction and feedback while fostering enjoyment and repeat participation.
• Contribute to programme growth by reporting demand, suggesting new sessions and assisting promotional activities.
• Advise customers on equipment choices and manage the rental racket offer.
• Report booking system issues, operational concerns and customer feedback to relevant teams.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience coaching padel to a range of ages and abilities.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, school holidays and occasional events.
• Self‑employed/freelance status with ability to manage own schedule.
• Strong communication and customer‑service focus.
• Commitment to safety and high‑quality delivery.
