Paediatric Nurse – Night Shift (2 Saturdays per month)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Nurse to join our Community Care team in Manchester. The role focuses on providing critical overnight care to a child receiving Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), with two Saturday night shifts per month.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialised nursing care to a child on TPN during assigned night shifts.
• Continuously monitor the child’s vital signs and condition throughout the night.
• Administer prescribed medications and TPN, observing for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of all interventions.
• Communicate effectively with the child’s family, providing updates and reassurance.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
• Minimum six months experience in paediatric nursing.
• Strong clinical competence and understanding of paediatric care protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
