Paediatric Recovery Lead Nurse – Private Hospital

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in a reputable private hospital in Central North London. The Paediatric Recovery Lead Nurse will lead the paediatric surgical and post‑anaesthetic services, ensuring high‑quality care for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the provision of surgical and post‑anaesthetic services for paediatric patients.
• Manage the recovery unit, supporting Duty Managers, Ward Managers and the theatre suite.
• Supervise and mentor the nursing team, delivering family‑centred care.
• Collaborate closely with consultants to optimise patient outcomes.
• Deliver teaching sessions and mentor staff, contributing to performance reviews.
• Maintain compliance with CQC standards and clinical governance requirements.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (UK NMC) with dual paediatric registration.
• Teaching/Mentorship qualification.
• Post‑graduate paediatric development in critical care, anaesthetics or recovery.
• EPALS/APLS provider certification.
• Proven experience as a Paediatric Recovery Nurse in a critical‑care environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
