Painter & Decorator – Residential Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our maintenance team in Brent. You will carry out internal and external painting, wallpapering and damp‑mould treatment across residential properties, ensuring high‑quality finishes and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and paint internal surfaces such as walls, ceilings, doors and woodwork.
• Apply emulsion, gloss and specialist finishes accurately.
• Wallpaper and perform decorative detailing where required.
• Carry out external painting at height, including fascia boards and soffits, using ladders safely.
• Treat damp and mould issues.
• Support void refurbishments and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct snagging, touch‑up work and final quality checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle to a high standard.
• Complete job records and documentation promptly.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, clients and colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in painting, decorating and wallpapering.
• Experience with damp and mould treatments.
• Ability to work safely at height and use ladders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Own hand tools and a full UK driving licence.
