Painter & Decorator – Residential Repairs

About the role

Join the Repairs team to deliver high‑quality painting and decorating work across residential properties. You will prepare surfaces, apply finishes and ensure every visit leaves a positive impression for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare internal and external surfaces for decoration, achieving a high‑quality finish.
• Communicate clearly with residents, keeping them informed throughout each job.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including COSHH and manual handling procedures.
• Use mobile technology to record work, update job status and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect properties, identify repair needs such as damp or mould, and select effective solutions to minimise repeat visits.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Painting & Decorating (C&G Level 2, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a customer‑focused environment.
• Ability to assess repairs and recommend the most effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills for clear explanations to residents.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
