Painting & Decorating Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Painting & Decorating Supervisor to lead a small team on high‑spec residential and commercial projects across London. You will combine expert craftsmanship with on‑site leadership, ensuring each job is completed safely, on time and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside decorators on high‑spec painting and decorating assignments.
• Supervise up to five decorators, allocating tasks and providing practical guidance.
• Coordinate schedules, materials and daily workloads to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
• Act as the primary on‑site contact for clients, colleagues and suppliers.
• Identify and resolve site issues proactively while maintaining a clean, safe and respectful environment.
• Promote sustainable practices and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in professional painting and decorating, preferably on high‑end residential or commercial sites.
• Previous supervisory or foreperson experience managing a small team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in occupied homes.
• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks.
