Paralegal (Property)

About the role

A client of 2i Recruit is seeking a Paralegal for its Property team in Weybridge. The role supports fee earners and helps deliver an excellent client experience, and suits someone organised and proactive who wants to build experience in property law.

Key responsibilities

• Support fee earners with a wide range of commercial property transactions and matters
• Prepare correspondence, reports and legal documents, including leases, licences, completion documents and digital dictation
• Manage client files from opening through to completion and post-completion
• Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, landlords, lenders, surveyors and other third parties
• Assist with acquisitions, disposals, lease grants, lease renewals and refinancing
• Conduct property searches, review title documents and assist with due diligence
• Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and support completion formalities
• Use the case management system and maintain high document and file management standards
• Complete SDLT and other online forms, obtain information from local authorities and manage registration and post-completion formalities
• Support wider administrative and departmental activities, business development and marketing where appropriate, and identify ways to improve administrative efficiency

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification is essential
• Previous experience in Property Law is required
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
• Proactive, reliable and able to work as part of a team
• Able to handle multiple matters and prioritise in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Good IT skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines
