Paraplanner – 2 days home working option

About the role

This position is for an experienced Paraplanner within an independent financial planning practice. You will work closely with advisers to deliver high‑quality, compliant financial plans while enjoying a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis on pensions, investments, protection and other financial solutions.
• Prepare accurate suitability reports, recommendation letters and technical briefing notes for client meetings.
• Analyse existing client plans and propose suitable adjustments aligned with client objectives.
• Provide technical support to advisers, handling complex client queries and product comparisons.
• Assist with cash‑flow modelling, retirement planning and investment case preparation.
• Ensure all client files meet internal standards and FCA regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with providers and third‑party services to gather necessary information.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client records in the back‑office system.

Required profile

• Previous Paraplanner experience within an IFA, financial planning or wealth‑management environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and related products.
• Proven ability to produce clear, compliant suitability reports.
• Diploma qualified (Level 4) or actively working towards Chartered status.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Intelliflo financial planning software.
• Experience using other financial planning tools for cash‑flow and scenario analysis.
