Paraplanner – Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing financial planning business. The role offers the chance to work on complex cases, produce high‑quality technical reports and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake detailed research and analysis to formulate appropriate financial planning advice.
• Prepare accurate, compliant and client‑focused suitability reports and letters.
• Provide technical support across investments, pensions, inheritance tax, tax‑efficient investments, trusts and protection.
• Prepare cash‑flow planning forecasts and supporting analysis.
• Work collaboratively with advisers and administrators to ensure smooth delivery of client cases.
• Support senior management and contribute to continuous improvement of paraplanning processes.
• Ensure client files and advice meet FCA standards in partnership with the Compliance team.
• Manage multiple cases and priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
• Proven experience working as a Paraplanner in a financial advice or wealth‑management environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning and protection.
• Excellent suitability report writing skills and understanding of FCA regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
