Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

Pareto Financial Planning, part of K3 Advisory Group, is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to deliver complex financial planning support to clients and advisers. The role operates on a hybrid basis, three days in the Manchester office and two days remote each week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct triage to identify information required for financial plan recommendations.
• Identify planning areas and discuss client objectives with advisers.
• Analyse client fact‑finds to determine needs, priorities and potential solutions.
• Research financial products, providers and market trends.
• Perform cashflow modelling and scenario analysis.
• Liaise with clients’ legal and tax advisers where appropriate.
• Consider asset allocation and investment strategy in line with risk profile and objectives.
• Prepare suitability reports and financial plans meeting regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with administration teams to implement recommendations.
• Provide technical expertise across pensions, investments, protection and financial planning.
• Ensure recommendations comply with FCA regulations and company procedures.
• Keep up to date with legislative and market changes and maintain accurate client records.
• Work closely with financial advisers, attend client meetings for technical discussions, and assist in preparing review packs and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Paraplanner.
• Diploma 4 qualification in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and financial planning regulations.
