Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are seeking a Paraplanner to join a dynamic financial advisory firm that delivers personalised wealth management, investment, retirement and planning services. You will work closely with advisers to create compliant, client‑focused financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical paraplanning support across a wide range of client cases.
• Develop recommendations covering investments, pensions, retirement, tax and estate planning.
• Produce cash‑flow models, financial reports and suitability documentation.
• Review investment portfolios and support asset‑allocation decisions.
• Prepare client review packs, performance reports and related documentation.
• Obtain quotations, product information and conduct research to compare solutions.
• Liaise with clients, providers and third parties to ensure efficient case progression.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar financial‑planning role.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (PFS) or working towards it, or FPC qualification with substantial experience.
• Familiarity with pension transfers, inheritance‑tax planning and investment products.
• Strong knowledge of current financial‑services legislation and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Financial research systems such as Analytics and Voyant.
