Paraplanner – Hybrid – up to £50k

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Paraplanner to join our client‑focused financial planning team in Kendal. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office and remote work, and is ideal for a Diploma‑qualified professional who enjoys technical research, report writing and supporting advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality technical research and analysis across pensions, investments, protection, tax planning, IHT and retirement strategies.
• Prepare suitability reports and supporting documentation for financial advisers.
• Assist in creating and reviewing financial plans, cash‑flow models and risk assessments.
• Liaise with advisers to understand client objectives and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure all reports and advice meet compliance and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate client records using CRM and back‑office systems such as Intelligent Office or Xplan.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent – essential.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a paraplanning role within an IFA, wealth management or financial planning firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax wrappers and protection products.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
