Paraplanner / IFA Administrator (3‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Paraplanner/IFA Administrator will support a busy independent financial advice (IFA) team in Chatham on a three‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role combines client‑facing administration with the preparation of financial reports and research for advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling queries, preparing annual review packs and managing ongoing requests.
• Process new business applications, investment fund switches and pension/investment ongoing management.
• Maintain accurate client data and keep back‑office systems up‑to‑date to meet compliance standards.
• Support advisers by conducting research, drafting review documentation and liaising with providers for policy details.
• Produce high‑quality financial reports and cash‑flow models as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an administration role within an IFA or similar financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of financial planning products such as investments, pensions and protection.
• Level 4 Diploma (advantageous but not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to simplify complex financial information.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with industry‑specific software and cash‑flow modelling tools.
