Paraplanner – Level 4 Qualified – £40k-£45k – Leeds

About the role

An established, small and friendly financial services firm based in Leeds is looking to appoint an experienced Level 4 qualified Paraplanner to join their close‑knit team. This role offers the chance to continue providing high‑quality paraplanning support while developing the knowledge and experience needed to progress into a Trainee Adviser and eventually become a Financial Adviser.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality Paraplanning support to the Adviser and wider team.
• Prepare suitability reports, financial analysis and recommendations.
• Assist with pension, investment and protection‑related cases.
• Support the Adviser with the management and servicing of an established client bank.
• Assist with new business processing and ongoing client reviews.
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
• Liaise with product providers and other third parties.
• Ensure all client documentation is accurate, compliant and completed within agreed timescales.
• Take on increasing responsibility for client relationships as experience develops.
• Work towards progressing into a Trainee Adviser position.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma qualified in Financial Planning.
• Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and investment products.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage workloads and work to deadlines.
• Professional, personable and confident when dealing with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Genuine interest in progressing into a Financial Adviser role.
• Comfortable working within a small, family‑run team environment.
• Willingness to work office‑based in Leeds.
