Paraplanner & Trainee Financial Adviser – £40k-£50k

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Paraplanner who wishes to progress to a qualified Financial Adviser. Based near Guildford, you will join a respected Chartered Wealth Management practice and follow a structured training pathway to achieve Competent Adviser status within 12‑18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial planning research and technical analysis.
• Prepare high‑quality suitability reports and recommendations.
• Support advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, tax planning and inheritance tax strategies.
• Produce cash‑flow modelling reports and financial planning projections.
• Attend client meetings alongside senior advisers.
• Assist with complex client cases and planning strategies.
• Build relationships with high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients.
• Progress towards Competent Adviser status through mentoring and training.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Paraplanning role.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial planning and wealth management.
• Proven ability to write suitability reports independently.
• Good understanding of pensions, investments, retirement, tax and inheritance tax planning.
