Parking Compliance Officer

About the role
We are seeking a Parking Compliance Officer to join a busy local authority team in London. You will ensure that parking enforcement infrastructure – road markings, signs and related assets – meets the highest standards of accuracy and legal compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out on‑street inspections of parking signs, road markings and associated infrastructure.
- Verify compliance with Traffic Management Orders (TMOs) and relevant legislation.
- Monitor the quality and progress of maintenance and repair works.
- Manage contractors and maintenance teams to deliver scheduled works.
- Identify defects, prioritise remedial actions and produce detailed reports.
- Maintain accurate records using mapping and digital systems.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of parking legislation, including the Road Traffic Act and TSRGD.
- Experience interpreting TMOs and conducting on‑street inspections in varied weather.
- Ability to read maps and operate digital mapping tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full clean manual UK driving licence.
