Part 1 & 2 Architectural Assistant (Winter 2025)

About the role

David Kohn Architects, established in 2007, has an international reputation for high‑quality design, recently winning RIBA House of the Year. The practice is delivering a mixed‑use building in Birmingham, an architecture faculty in Belgium, and a university campus in Oxford, with a strong focus on carbon‑negative futures. We are recruiting Part 1 & 2 Architectural Assistants to contribute across arts, education, and master‑planning projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce drawings and models for coordination and client presentations.
• Develop concept designs to tight deadlines.
• Prepare presentations and documents for meetings and submissions.
• Contribute effectively to design discussions.

Required profile

• Experience working through RIBA Work Stages and/or competitions.
• Proven ability to work both within a team and independently.
• Understanding of planning, building regulations and technical requirements.
• Interest in the design‑led ethos of David Kohn Architects.

Required skills

• Excellent design, drafting and visualisation abilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and/or Vectorworks, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
• Strong physical model‑making skills.
