Part Qualified Accountant – Belfast

About the role

Our client, a busy and well‑established accountancy practice in Belfast, is seeking a motivated Part Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. This permanent, full‑time position is ideal for a candidate currently studying towards an ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification who wants to develop their career in a supportive professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Perform bookkeeping duties using cloud‑based accounting software.
• Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
• Assist senior accountants and managers with client work and audit assignments.
• Liaise with clients to obtain financial information and address queries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.

Required profile

• Currently studying towards ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
