Part Qualified Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Management Accountant to own monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis across our Comics, Books and Merchandise divisions. The role will ensure accurate and timely financial data while driving process improvements and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of monthly reporting processes and produce title‑based reports for each division.
• Develop schedules, journals and key financial statements as part of the management accounts cycle.
• Collaborate with IT to optimise P&L data management and automate systems.
• Prepare budget and forecast packs for the Comics division and present them at monthly review meetings.
• Manage purchase and sales ledger close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and advance/work‑in‑progress schedules.
• Calculate magazine sales accruals, process production and marketing accruals, and perform monthly stock valuations for UK and US markets.
• Upload distributor sales data into Microsoft Access and compile executive summaries highlighting profit and loss variances.
• Support audit preparation by creating key schedules alongside the Financial Accountant.

• Ability to work collaboratively with IT, Financial Accounts and senior management.
