Part Time Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Part Time Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts Manager of an engineering‑focused company. The role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys manual processing and has experience using Sage 50.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Manager with data entry into sales and purchase ledgers using Sage 50.
• Cross‑check invoices and internal orders before production.
• Match invoices to statements and purchase orders, and monitor supply‑chain purchases and stock levels.
• Analyse expenses, reconcile accounts and resolve invoice queries with the supply chain.
• Maintain sales ledgers, control debt, and post receipts and payments.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, spreadsheets, reports and related correspondence.
• Provide general administrative assistance as required.

Required profile

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Experience in an accounting environment or a similar role.

What we offer

• Part‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday 07:45 am – 12:15 pm.
• Hourly rate of £16.00.
