Part Time Accounts Assistant

About the role

This part‑time, permanent position supports the finance team in Leeds, processing supplier invoices, payments and maintaining accurate ledger records. You will work 24‑28 hours per week in a hybrid model, with one day remote.

Key responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Match, batch and code invoices
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
• Prepare and process supplier payments via BACS and cheques
• Maintain purchase ledger records and assist with payment runs
• Support sales ledger activities
• Process CIS and subcontractor invoices, including retentions
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider finance team

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Strong numerical and data‑entry abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time‑management skills
• Effective communication and a proactive problem‑solving approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
