Part-Time Assistant Management Accountant

About the role

You will join a fast‑growing consultancy in London City, working closely with the Finance Manager and Partner. This part‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term position offers exposure to senior stakeholders and a blend of accounting and operational responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Assist with month‑end activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and P&L review.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Help produce statutory reports such as P11D, PSA and EMI filings.
• Contribute to Power BI dashboard development for enhanced reporting.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across the business.
• Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Required profile

• Recent experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
• Part‑time availability.
• Studying towards or holding a part‑qualified accounting qualification.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Maturity, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
• Power BI.
