Part-Time Care Worker – Support Residents in Edinburgh

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate part‑time Care Worker to join our residential team in Edinburgh. You will help older residents maintain dignity, independence and comfort through personal care and daily support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing and toileting.
• Support meals, encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Promote independence by enabling choice and encouraging activity.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow established procedures.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Kind, dependable and committed to helping others.
• Positive attitude, respectful and compassionate.
• Willingness to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare.
• Eligibility for the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
