Part-Time Caretaker – 30 hrs/week on 200‑acre estate

About the role

Our client is looking for a proactive and reliable part‑time Caretaker to join the Almshouses team. You will work 30 hours per week on a rotating seven‑day schedule between 11:00 am and 10:00 pm, helping to keep a 200‑acre estate safe, well‑maintained and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform indoor and outdoor caretaking and maintenance tasks across the estate, including gardens, woodland and lakes.
• Respond promptly to residents’ day‑to‑day needs, providing reassurance and excellent customer service.
• Ensure the safety and attractiveness of communal areas, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Work closely with Maintenance Operatives to coordinate repairs and improvements.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues across the Trust to deliver a coordinated service.

• Confident working independently and comfortable being a visible presence in the community.
• Practical, organised and takes pride in supporting older people.
• Reliable, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
