Part-Time Domestic Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Domestic Assistant to join Cygnet Cedars, a 23‑bed high‑dependency care service for men with learning disabilities. Working 24 hours per week across Monday‑Wednesday (07:00‑15:00), you will help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks in communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and staff spaces.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use materials safely, following COSHH guidelines.
• Re‑stock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is well‑maintained.
• Adhere to health‑and‑safety procedures and report any hazards.
• Collaborate with the domestic team to support smooth facility operations.

Required profile

• Friendly, conscientious attitude with a positive approach.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable).
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations (desirable).
