Part-Time Finance Manager/Accountant

About the role

We are recruiting for an established manufacturing business that needs an experienced Finance Manager/Accountant on a part‑time basis. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the day‑to‑day finance and accounting activities and help drive commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and support year‑end reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow statements.
• Manage purchase and sales ledgers, payroll and VAT returns.
• Ensure statutory compliance and liaise with external accountants.
• Provide commercial insight to support business growth.
• Review and improve finance processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping experience with strong management accounting skills.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Good understanding of VAT and payroll administration.
• Excellent organisational detail and collaborative communication style.
• AAT qualified, part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent practical experience.
