Part Time HR Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a part-time HR Advisor to join our team in Haywards Heath on a term-time basis. The role offers a balanced work-life schedule, allowing you to contribute to an organisation that supports children’s wellbeing while enjoying flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on a range of employment matters.
• Assist with recruitment, including drafting job descriptions, screening candidates and organising interviews.
• Support onboarding and induction activities for new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data-protection compliance.
• Promote HR policies and procedures across the organisation.
• Assist with grievances, disciplinaries and performance-management processes.
• Contribute to employee-engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or in a comparable HR role.
• CIPD Level 3 or 5 preferred.
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, approachable and supportive attitude.
• Interest in working within a supportive team on a term-time schedule.
