Part-time HR Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Part‑time HR Manager to join our fast‑growing food distribution business in Staines. Working three days a week on‑site and remotely, you will partner with managers to deliver day‑to‑day HR services while driving forward‑thinking improvements using technology and data.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve daily HR operations and processes.
• Partner with line managers to provide practical, commercially‑focused HR advice.
• Support and mentor the HR Officer, prioritising workload and maintaining high standards.
• Manage the full employee life‑cycle, ensuring accurate HR systems and reporting.
• Assist with learning and development initiatives.
• Contribute to HR projects that explore smarter ways of working, including the use of AI and automation.
• Collaborate with the Head of HR on culture, engagement and employee experience projects.
• Enhance reporting and use data to inform decision‑making.

Required profile

• Solid experience in a senior generalist HR role (e.g., Senior HR Advisor or Business Partner).
• Curious and forward‑thinking with an interest in technology and AI.
• Clear, pragmatic communicator who simplifies complex issues.
• Comfortable making autonomous decisions and working across operational HR and manager support.
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to get involved in day‑to‑day activities.
• Experience or interest in learning and development.
