Part-time Optometrist – Lunsford Park

About the role

Vision Express is seeking a qualified optometrist to work part‑time (2 days per week, including Saturday) at its Lunsford Park store in South East England. You will have access to a fully equipped test room featuring OCT and an Auto Phoropter, supporting you to deliver confident diagnoses.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using OCT and Auto Phoropter equipment.
• Diagnose vision problems and recommend appropriate corrective lenses or treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure high standards of clinical care.
• Collaborate with a resident optometrist, store manager and optical assistants to achieve store performance targets.
• Participate in sales and patient education initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified and GOC‑registered optometrist.
• Strong clinical expertise with the ability to build patient confidence.
• Team‑oriented mindset, willing to share ideas and support colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
• Experience operating an Auto Phoropter.
