Part-time Out-of-Hours Business Travel Consultant (Home-based)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time, out‑of‑hours Business Travel Consultant to work remotely from home. The role is ideal for an experienced corporate travel professional who wants a flexible schedule with minimal workload, handling urgent travel requests during evenings and nights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a low volume of out‑of‑hours travel requests primarily via email.
• Book and amend flights, hotels and car hires for UK, European and worldwide business trips.
• Process changes, reissues and resolve urgent travel disruptions in line with client policies.
• Provide occasional leisure assistance when required.
• Cover additional shifts during planned leave periods, working up to five nights a week for four weeks per year.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Travel Consultant within a TMC.
• Strong knowledge of Amadeus (cryptic/command essential); familiarity with Galileo is a plus.
• Confidence handling fare rules, reissues and airline policies.
• Ability to work independently and manage crisis situations.

What we offer

• £15 per hour (approx. 1,914 hours per year) plus a £25 bonus for emergency work between midnight and 4 am.
• Permanent contract with a supportive, friendly team.
• Very light workload – often described as “paid to sleep”.
• Two fixed night shifts per week (Monday and Tuesday, 17:00‑09:30) with additional cover weeks as needed.
