Part Time PE Teacher

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Part‑time Physical Education teacher to join a well‑established secondary school in Croydon. The role starts in September and involves delivering high‑quality PE lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, both in practical sessions and classroom‑based theory.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess PE lessons that meet the curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4.
- Provide a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment for all students.
- Offer constructive feedback and targeted interventions to support student progress.
- Lead and contribute to extracurricular sport activities and wider school events.
- Teach girls‑only PE groups confidently, in line with timetable needs.
Required profile
- Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Confidence delivering PE to girls‑only groups.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Willingness to obtain a valid DBS check (or already holding one).

What we offer
- Salary paid to scale, ranging from £40,000 to £63,000 per year.
- Part‑time contract of 15 hours per week, working 08:30‑16:30.
