Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant in Chelmsford

About the role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our school community in Chelmsford from September 2026. This part‑time, term‑time position offers the chance to support pupils with additional needs and help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
- Monitor pupil progress and give feedback to teaching staff.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external professionals as required.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN (school experience desirable but not essential).
- Patient, empathetic and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare or SEN support are advantageous.
