Part-Time Taste Tester (Sensory Panelist)

About the role

As a Sensory Panelist at KP Snacks you will help shape the future of snacking by using your taste and smell to evaluate and improve a range of snack products. You will work in the Ashby de la Zouch sensory lab, receive full training and contribute to new recipes, shelf‑life decisions and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in product testing, assessing appearance, flavour, aroma, texture and other sensory attributes.
• Provide accurate, reliable data through computer‑based questionnaires to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with fellow panelists and R&D staff to describe product characteristics and suggest improvements.
• Take part in sensory training sessions and apply learning to enhance expertise.

Required profile

• A keen sense of taste and smell, able to evaluate snacks containing nuts, dairy, wheat, soy, eggs, meat and other ingredients.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaborative testing sessions.
• No specific experience required; transferable skills from food, hospitality or similar settings are valued.
• Willingness to work in line with KP values of teamwork, respect and integrity.
