Part Time Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are partnering with a highly regarded primary school in Wandsworth to recruit an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant on a part‑time basis. The role starts in September 2026 and runs for one academic year, with the possibility of extension. Working mornings or afternoons during term time, you will support the class teacher and help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering high‑quality lessons for Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to children with literacy and numeracy tasks.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and report observations to the teacher.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Key Stage 2 setting.
• Qualification at Level 3 or a graduate degree.
• Strong literacy and mathematics skills.
• High energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to supporting children’s learning.
