Part-time Year 2 Teacher (Job Share)

About the role

This is a part‑time, three‑day‑a‑week position teaching a Year 2 class of around 30 pupils in a vibrant infant school in Dulwich. The role starts in September 2026 and runs initially until July 2027, offering a flexible job‑share arrangement with an existing teacher.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes for all learners.
• Create a stimulating, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Collaborate with Key Stage 1 colleagues to share ideas and best practice.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, trips and enrichment activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 1.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a job‑share model.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, creative approach to teaching.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and high‑performing learning environment.
