About the role

We are looking for a qualified primary teacher to lead a mixed Year 4/5 class on Thursdays and Fridays at a supportive school in Taunton. This part‑time, long‑term position offers a stable teaching schedule within a friendly community.

Key responsibilities

Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for approximately 40 pupils.
Prepare teaching materials, mark work and record student progress.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to enhance learning.
Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.

Required profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching primary students, particularly Year 4 and Year 5.
Strong organisational and classroom management abilities.
