Participatory Learning and Research Officer

About the role

Join a specialist pilot programme that supports people living with both dementia and cancer. You will lead the learning, engagement and research elements of a Dementia‑Inclusive Cancer Support Pilot, working closely with service users, carers and professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and facilitate a Participatory Learning Group involving people with lived experience, carers and professionals.
• Gather, analyse and communicate qualitative insights from participants and frontline delivery.
• Generate evidence on effective support for people living with dementia and cancer.
• Inform service development, system improvement and future practice based on learning.

Required profile

• Experience of community engagement, participation, co‑production or qualitative research.
• Proven ability to gather and analyse qualitative information and identify themes.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing skills.

• 21 hours per week, hybrid working (community venues, partner organisations and remote).
• Fixed‑term contract (2‑year grant‑funded).
• Salary £18,300 pro rata (£30,500 full‑time equivalent).
