Partner / Head of Commercial

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established law firm in Worthing to recruit a Partner / Head of Commercial. This senior solicitor will lead a team of five, manage a quality caseload and drive the growth of the commercial department.

Key responsibilities

• Business and company sales & acquisitions, including share sales and purchases.
• Handling company commercial matters, shareholder agreements and commercial property transactions.
• Managing development work such as Section 106 agreements, overage and option agreements.
• Overseeing agricultural property matters and commercial leases, renewals, landlord & tenant work.
• Leading and mentoring solicitors and support staff, reviewing processes and implementing best practice.
• Supervising files to ensure quality and consistency, and developing client relationships with SMEs and regional businesses.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with significant experience in commercial law.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Commercially minded with strong client relationship skills.
• Keen to play a key role in the growth of a successful department.

What we offer

• Salary £80,000 – £90,000 per annum.
