Partner – Residential Development (Sevenoaks)

About the role

Birketts LLP is seeking a Partner to lead its Residential Development team in Sevenoaks. This senior position will shape the strategic direction of the practice, drive growth, and work closely with cross‑functional colleagues across planning, tax, construction, environmental and litigation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Sevenoaks Residential Development team, aligning with firm‑wide and sector strategies.
• Drive the growth and profile of the Sevenoaks practice by identifying and developing new workstreams, clients and markets.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with national and SME residential developers and registered providers.
• Collaborate with colleagues in planning, tax, construction, environmental and real‑estate litigation to deliver commercially focused advice on major development schemes.
• Oversee the delivery of advice on acquisition, sale and development of land, secured lending, and landlord‑tenant matters.

Required profile

• Significant experience in residential development law and real‑estate practice.
• Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and influence firm strategy.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of business development.
