Part‑Qualified Accountant – Lingfield

About the role

We are a thriving, friendly accountancy practice in Lingfield seeking a part‑qualified accountant eager to develop within a supportive, hands‑on environment. This role offers professional growth, varied client work and a stable, close‑knit team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Handle bookkeeping, reconciliations and working papers
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and Making Tax Digital (MTD) filings
• Assist with management accounts and personal tax returns
• Liaise directly with clients, maintaining accurate records
• Use CCH software and support cloud tools such as Xero and QuickBooks

Required profile

• AAT qualified (or ACCA/ACA part‑qualified) and committed to continued study
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Strong bookkeeping skills and confidence preparing working papers
• Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities
• Experience with VAT registrations, Companies House and HMRC submissions is desirable
