Parts Advisor – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Parts Advisor to join our client’s busy team in Basildon. The role combines customer service, sales and technical knowledge of commercial vehicle and automotive parts, working Monday‑Friday in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers on parts and product solutions via phone and email.
• Identify and source the correct parts quickly and accurately.
• Process orders, quotations, returns, warranties and customer enquiries.
• Build relationships with customers and maximise sales opportunities.
• Upsell complementary products and promote current stock lines.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Assist with stock enquiries and inventory management.
• Support the wider sales function with administration and customer support.
• Develop technical and product knowledge through ongoing training.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Sales Advisor, Motor Factor Sales Advisor or similar.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle, automotive or aftermarket parts.
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with a positive attitude and commercial awareness.
