Parts Advisor

About the role

The Parts Advisor will support the workshop and engineering teams by managing stock, processing parts requests and ensuring accurate documentation. This position is based in Cranleigh and is open to candidates with or without a military background.

Key responsibilities

• Replenish van stock and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Issue parts to the workshop and engineers, handling incoming requests and enquiries.
• Process parts returns, conduct regular stock‑taking and general housekeeping.
• Identify, order and source required parts, assisting with quotations.
• Resolve issues such as incorrect parts supplied and verify parts booked on job sheets.
• Maintain parts filing system and provide general administration for the Service Team.

Required profile

• Strong telephone etiquette and excellent interpersonal communication.
• Methodical approach with good organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a busy service environment.

Required skills

• PC/system skills.
• Experience or knowledge of parts department processes.
