Parts Advisor – Swindon (Full‑time)

About the role

The Parts Advisor will support the Swindon branch of an automotive dealership, handling over‑the‑counter parts sales and coordinating workshop requirements. This permanent, full‑time position works Monday‑Friday with occasional Saturday shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Sell parts to customers in‑person and via telephone, covering all makes.
• Process workshop orders, source parts, and manage procurement.
• Maintain stock control, conduct stock takes and manage parts storage.
• Issue personal protective equipment (PPE) to staff.
• Resolve invoice queries, handle returns, and chase supplier credits.
• Control warranty parts retention and related processes.
• Receive, record and allocate parts and consumables from suppliers.
• Oversee waste disposal, purchase tools and consumables for the workshop.
• Ensure all parts are recorded in the Dealer Management System (DMS).

Required profile

• Proven experience in a parts role within a car or commercial vehicle dealership.
• Pro‑active attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, dynamic personality.
