Parts Assistant / Driver

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Parts Assistant / Driver to support our client’s busy parts distribution centre in Sparkford. The role combines customer‑facing duties with the safe delivery of parts to local garages and retailers, offering a stable full‑time position within a growing automotive business.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vans to collect and deliver parts across the local area, adhering to schedules and safety standards.
• Provide in‑store assistance to customers, offering product information and supporting sales enquiries.
• Load and unload goods, following manual‑handling procedures and health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route sheets and inventory records.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation and inventory control.
• Deliver professional telephone and face‑to‑face customer service.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a delivery driver with a clean driving licence.
• Familiarity with commercial vehicles and manual‑handling duties.
• Good knowledge of local routes and navigation tools.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
